It's time. Time for 'Old Yeller' Edge 705 to sit, stay and roll over for the Garmin Edge 800, that is. It takes all the best features of the cyclists' delight, the Edge 705, and adds a few twists of its own. Features such as touchscreen navigation, which permits the user to pan and scroll maps, shift between waypoints and select their preferred fitness features with an effortless gesture. Far more intuitive than a button-control interface, no?
If you'd impugn the integrity of a touchscreen on a device made to endure more than a few knocks - a fair point I grant you - you'd best put your misguided notions out to pasture. The good wizards at GARMIN are no fools, and have rendered the Edge 800's display just as water-resistant and weatherproof as the rest of its enclosure.
